Composition Competition 2026

Eligibility

The competition is open to composers of all nationalities and ages.

Regulation​​​

The composition must be written for solo or duo
The piece may be written for any instrument, including electronics, voice, and ethnic instruments.
Each submission must include a PDF score and an MP3 recording (live or MIDI).
The maximum duration of the composition is 15 minutes.

Award Ceremony Concert: May 15, 2026 – Vienna, Austria

Prizes

Only the 1st prize winner will have their composition performed live by Viennese musicians at the Salon Bank Austria in Vienna on May 9, 2025.

• 1st Prize Winner will receive:

  • A personalized ceramic award designed by sculptor Caner Güner

  • A professional audio and video recording of the performance

  • An official certificate

  • A 1-year Professional PLUS subscription to SCODO by UNIVERSAL EDITION

• 2nd Prize, 3rd Prize, and Honourable Mention recipients will receive:

  • An official certificate

  • A 1-year Professional PLUS subscription to SCODO

• All participants will receive:

  • A free one-time upload voucher from SCODO

Evaluation

​A jury appointed by Classic Pure Vienna will evaluate all submissions.
The jury’s decisions are final and cannot be appealed.
The evaluation will focus on musical originality, artistic quality, and technical execution.
The jury is not required to provide individual feedback to participants.

Registration fee

​The entry fee is €65 per application.

All transfer and bank charges must be covered by the applicant.
